About
The Anson County Veterans Council is a not for profit Veterans organization that is a coalition of county veterans, independent veteran's organization and their auxiliaries and other patriotic groups united for the following purposes:
* To promote public services and activities honoring Veterans on Memorial Day, Veteran's Day and other patriotic holidays.
* To create and maintain a greater public awareness and interest in Veterans service to the community, state and nation.
* To select and publicly recognize an "Anson County Veteran of the Year."
* To provide a forum for the identification and discussion of issues and actions that impact Veterans and their families.
* To host an annual Veterans legislative roundtable to inform Veterans and their families on those matters affecting Veterans on the Federal, State and local levels.
* To be a local non-participating forum for the North Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs.
